Returning to Space — Space Responds
Introductory Experiential Workshop

Through a simple approach to space, you will experience how your body sensations and the way your strength emerges can change.

◆ “Returning to Space” is an introductory workshop designed to help you experience your relationship with space. Using weighted objects and sound, participants explore changes in their center of gravity and differences in sound quality. The space itself does not change. What changes is our relationship with space. Would you like to feel the “responsiveness of space” through your own body?

◆This workshop is based on a practical method called “Space Manipulation.”

Space Manipulation does not aim to control or change space.
Instead, it is a practice that adjusts one's relationship with space,

allowing participants to experience changes in bodily sensation and perception.

The word “technique” here does not refer to a special ability.
Rather, it means a physical approach that anyone can practice.

Currently, Space Manipulation is in the stage of verifying its practical model.
To confirm whether these experiences can be reproduced by many people,

we are inviting participants to join as research volunteers (monitors).

After the session, we will ask for feedback about your experience

and any changes you noticed so that we can improve the method.

If this experience proves reproducible, the following possibilities may emerge:

• Increased safety for older adults when going up and down stairs
• Reduced fatigue in hiking and mountain climbing
• Less physical strain during heavy lifting tasks
• Improved athletic performance and movement function
• Changes in the acoustic field for musicians

※ This program is normally planned to be offered for 3,000 yen,
but it is currently free during this research phase.

Workshop Content

Changes in center of gravity and relationship with gravity
(using weighted objects or tables in a safe manner)

  1. Changes in sound quality (acoustic field) (using Tingsha bells)

※ A printed guide to the practice steps will be provided.

Request for Cooperation

1.Participants with healthy knees and lower backs may be asked to lift objects weighing

about 5–8 kg. Those with concerns about their knees or back will instead experience

the exercise by lifting a suitcase or similar object with their fingertips for safety.

2.The sound experiment using Tingsha bells will be recorded

to examine possible changes in sound quality.

3.Brief notes will be taken about the experience, and participants will be asked

for feedback and impressions.

4.Collected data will be used only for research purposes

and will not be published in a way that identifies individuals.

5.Participants who experience reproducible results may be asked

to provide a short anonymous comment (100–200 characters).

Example: Hiroshima / Female / 60s

👉 First-time participants are welcome.

Experiences may vary from person to person. Whatever you feel is perfectly fine.
Your genuine experience will be valuable data for this research.
